What is our policy on artificial bovine growth hormone?

Responsiveness to our consumers is one of our guiding principles.  From research, we determined that using milk produced without artificial growth hormone supplementation better meets our consumers' expectations about our brand - a brand associated with premium quality, consistent and best tasting products.  On April 1, 2005 the board and members voted to require members and suppliers to certify all milk delivered to our facilities be from cows not supplemented with artificial growth hormones.

Currently, all of the milk and cream used in the production of Tillamook dairy products, e.g., cheese, butter, ice cream, yogurt, and sour cream comes from cows not supplemented with artificial growth hormones.
