Tillamook County Creamery Association Recognized with FFA Award
September 28, 2009
Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) was recognized by the Oregon FFA Association with an Outstanding Service Award on Sept. 25, 2009.

The award was presented to TCCA CEO Harold Strunk by Hayden Bush, Tillamook FFA chapter president, and Kristen Kaste. In his presentation, Bush stated that the Oregon FFA Association wanted to recognize TCCA for the contributions and support it has given to the FFA program over the years. He said that he personally put in for the nomination. “The co-op does a lot to support us and we want you to know we appreciate it,” Bush stated in his presentation to Strunk. In addition to the state level service award, Bush thanked the co-op for the extra support provided in 2008 to help send students to the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., of which he attended. “Participating at the convention is a big deal to us,” he stated. “We fundraise to pay for the trip and really appreciated the help from TCCA so we could reach our fundraising goal.”

“Providing students with personal development opportunities and supporting future leaders in agriculture is important to the co-op,” stated Strunk. “We are proud to be recognized by FFA but believe the true outstanding service has been done by the FFA students within our community and across the state of Oregon. This is a great group of kids.”
