Leadership

As a farmer-owned cooperative, we enjoy a number of advantages that contribute to our success and help us create a close working relationship between our farmers and the consumer.

Advantages of Being a Cooperative
Three primary advantages of being a cooperative include:

  • Under a cooperative structure, profits are directed back to the farmer-owners rather than to a shareholder base that may or may not know anything about the business.
  • Our farmer-owners are required to be the primary suppliers of milk for our products or they cannot continue to do business as part of the cooperative.
  • A 9-member board of directors represents all of the farmer-owners, setting policy and working closely with management.
